Pauline Hawkins Brown

Pauline Hawkins Brown was born in Wilkes County, GA on September 20, 1947 as the sixth of eight children and the third daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Geraldine Gillom) Hawkins.  She departed her earthly body and entered into glory on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. 

Although the triplets are the baby of the family, Pauline was the eldest of the triplets followed by Paul and then Paula.  Pauline was raised in Warren County, GA and loved cooking, laughing and gardening.     

On December 24, 1964, she was married to Hornsby Brown, Sr. which four children were born from the union.  Pauline held a few jobs, but spent most of her years at Warrenton Rubber and Warrenton Textiles.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she was in rotation to host the senior pastor for Sunday dinner.   

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Hornsby Brown, Sr.; son, Hornsby “Boot” Brown, Jr.; sisters, Sarah Dorsey and Emmaline Smith; brothers, Ernest “Bunt” Hawkins, Arthur Hawkins and Paul Hawkins.   

Pauline leaves to cherish her memory and is survived by her  daughters, Wylene (Douglas) Mills of Warrenton, GA and Tracie (Patrick) Turman of Thomson, GA; son, Tony (Michelle) Brown of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Gloria Jones Brown of Sparta, GA; sister, Paula (Jean) Merriweather of Warrenton, GA; brother, Alton (“Snapper”) Hawkins of Warrenton, GA; sister-in-law,  Illene (Darwin) Kinsey of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Kischondrius (“Kiki”) Tanksley, Wyneshia Shank, Derquerius Brown, Devon (Bianca) Walls, Courtney Wright, Camiel Lawrence, Devin Rogers, Douglas Mills, Jr., Jamari Mills, Patrell Turman, Tevin (Candyn) Turman, Briana Turman, Adriauanna (“Meme”) Sturgis, Gabriel Brown, Levar Jones, Simeyon Jones, Nidia (Horatio) Myrick, Alexis Jackson Zephir and Akeem Jackson and Chikeeda Jackson, both of Atlanta, Georgia ; great-grandchildren, Mason Ballard, Zayden Turman, Eliana Turman and Devinity Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
