Nancy Louise Boone Brown, affectionally known as Sister Boone was born August 22, 1937 in Sparta, Georgia to the late Rev Leroy and Emma Boone. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a very spiritual woman who loved to worship the lord.

Nancy graduated for L. S. Ingram School in Sparta, Georgia and attended Poro Cosmetologist School in 1963. Because of her love of people, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and caretaker for many years. Nancy was a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star. She organized birthday and social clubs, including the organization of the Red Hatters. She served as president of the Tenant Association for the Drummer’s Home, and a foster grandparent in the Single Companion Program was another way that she showed her love for people..

Nancy was preceded in death by  three siblings; Etta Jones, Jimmy Boone and Gladys B. Marshall.

She leaves to cherish five children; Catherine Brown of Sparta, Georgia, Stanley Brown of Midway, Georgia, Angela B. Simmons of Milledgeville, Georgia, William Brown and Tracy Brown of Lithonia, Georgia, brothers; Frank (Pearl) Boone of Sparta, Georgia and William (Nettie) Boone of Columbia, South Carolina a sister –in- law Hattie Boone of Macon, Georgia 14 grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends
