But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15: 57
On May 25, 2018 God called our love one home to victory.
Mattie Bell Kendrick was born August 8, 1949 to the late Olissie Kendrick.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and began worshiping at Macedonia Baptist Church. She attended the Hancock County School Systems in Sparta, Georgia. Because of her flare and styles in her younger years, Mattie Bell was known as “Proud Mary”. For many years she worked at “Liz’s Play and Learn” Daycare Center in the Hunt’s Hill Community, where she lived the majority of her life. When she retired, she continued to bring true meaning to the term “It takes a village to raise a child” by providing child care services in her home for many children and parents, until her health began to fail. Everyone who knew her loved her.
After a brief illness, God called His Angel home. One sister, Ruby Kendrick preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister Josie Evans, who many thought was her twin, three daughters Anitra (Charles) Hill, Katrina Kendrick, Tanisha (Chris) Warthen, one son Rico Kendrick, five grandchildren, Shambrea Clayton, Omorion Kendrick, Donrico and Ronrico Turner, and Teneshia Hunt, also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
