James “BoBo” Charleston was born on September 18, 1941 to the late John David Charleston and Mattie Lou Charleston in Sparta, Georgia. James was educated in the Hancock County Public School System. He was a lifelong resident of Hancock County. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Lewis C.M.E. Church.
James was a hard worker and one of the best in his craft. He took pride in his work and always did it with a smile. He was employed with the timber industry for over 40 years until retirement.
He was married to Wylene K. Charleston for 54 years. James was a soft spoken, kind, and loving person. He loved to dance and spend time with family and friends, to know him was to love him.
James departed this life on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl Vinson and John David Charleston.
His memories will be cherished by his wife, Wylene K. Charleston; children, Carolyn Campbell (Phillip), Curtis Charleston (Debbie), Stevie Charleston (Tarneisha), Angela Reynolds, Kathy Reynolds and Lavette Roach; four brothers, George Charleston (Vivian), Grady Charleston (Pauline), Larry Charleston and Eddie Lee Clark (Vicky); five sisters, Katie Chapple, Abbie Parham (Richard), Roberta Matthews, Annie Mae Chapple (Tommy) and Elma Nash Harper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rolene Kerr, Grady Kendrick (Louise), Regina Bundrage (Daniel), Shirley Kendrick, Shelia Pittman and Glenn Kendrick, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss him dearly.
