Evelyn Mosley was born on November 28, 1944 to the late Georgia Rene Hood and John Arthur Barnes. She was called to rest on May 26, 2019.
She joined the Brown’s Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age. She received her education with the Hancock County School System.
Evelyn was loved by many. She had a beautiful and humble soul. She loved to walk and cook before she wasn’t able to do so. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her son Leon Mosley; siblings, Juanita Barnes, Johnnie Mae Barnes, and C.L. Barnes.
Evelyn is survived by her children Joanne Mosley, Wanda (Vinson) Winfrey; grandchildren, Jemessyn (Christopher) Kitchens, Shaquise Evans, Anthony Mosley, Lateshia Scott, Wyteshea Scott, Eddie Scott, Jr., Shymeka Scott, and Amia Davis; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a close friend, Ann Scott; uncle, William Roberts Barnes, Jacqueline (Ronnie) Wilder, Barbara Ann Bryant, John (Lucille) Barnes, Jr., Alton (Ann) Barnes, Rev. Johnny (Pearl) Lee Hood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
