Our wise Heavenly Father has taken, Elder Robert L. Paul, from our midst, on the evening of May 19, 2019 at his residence.
Robert Paul was born in Warren County, Georgia on October 29, 1939. He was the son of the late Ben and Mattie Pearl Paul. At a young age, he became a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and later joined the House of God House of Prayer for All Nations, Inc. under teachings of the late Mother Ozeliene Strother and Dr. Arlander H. Nolley, Sr.
Elder Robert Paul received education from the McDuffie County School System. He spent 47 years of his career as a Cross Country Truck Driver and was employed with J&M Transportation. He was known by his CB handle the “Country Preacher” and known to many as “Bro Paul”. He never went anywhere and was a stranger. He had conversation for everyone and anyone he met.
Robert Paul was preceded in death by his sons, Larry Hatchett, and Robert Lee Paul, Jr.
Elder Paul was cherished by his wife of 56 years together, 36 in Holy Matrimony, Katie M. Paul, Norwood, GA; sons, Ronnie Paul, White Plains, FL, Johnnie Lee Paul, Atlanta, GA, Rufus (Constance) Lowe, Augusta, GA, James (Lori) Hughes, VA, Kenny (Sandy) Stone Mountain, GA; daughters, Bernice Kines, Fort Pierce, FL, Itanga Hughes, Augusta, GA, Quinetta (Derese) Ellis, Monique Brooks, Elaine Kennedy, all of Lithonia, GA, Sherry Hughes, Augusta, GA, Terry Hughes, Camak, GA; other cherished relationships are his brothers-in-law: Willie James Norris, Atlanta, GA, Johnnie B.(Diane) Norris, Atlanta, GA, Johnson (Amber) Norris, Jr., Stone Mountain, GA, Terry Lee (Tasha) Norris, Los Angeles, CA; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Darrsaw, Sara Ann Smith, both of Atlanta, GA, Jessie Lou Harris, Stone Mountain, GA, Geraldine Norris, Atlanta, GA, Betty Jo Hardy, Norwood, GA; mother-in-law, Thelma Norris, Norwood, GA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two god sons, Chief Apostle James Nolley and Bishop Uland Nolley.
