Barbara English was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Fred English and the late Ms. Ernestine Walker on June 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.
Barbara lived in Brooklyn, NY most of her life. She attended school in Sparta, GA for five years as a child before returning to Brooklyn, New York to complete her schooling. She worked as a dietary aide at Bellevue Hospital in New York City for over 17 years before she retired at age 60. She moved back to Sparta, GA soon after her retirement to enjoy retirement with her siblings and extended family. She was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church, where she was baptized at a very young age. Her interests included interior design, cooking, working daily with her word find puzzles and watching her favorite TV show In the Kitchen with David on QVC. She made her transition on Friday, May 3, 2019 from her earthly home to her eternal home.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ms. Ernestine Walker, one sister Ms. Delores Walker and her father Mr. Fred English.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Stephanie English and Pamela English, three sisters, Mary Maldonado, Ella Wilson, Sharon Walker. One brother Larry (Gloridine) Walker, Nieces Yolanda (Timothy) McCrary, Nanette Wilson, Shana Walker. Nephews Keith Walker, Leroy Walker, Mark Walker, Bryant Wilson, Craig Daniels, Anthony Walker, Michael Wilson, Jonathan Wilson her beloved pet "Prince" and a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends from New York City, Sparta GA, and other parts of the country.
