Mr. Nathaniel Britt Sr, a proud veteran served in the U.S. Army, or eight years passed away Thursday March 28th, 2024, at the home of His son Timothy.
Durning this time the military he received many medals of honor including Airborne.
He was born on April 15th, 1931, to the parentage of Mr. Ned Taylor and Ms. Peggy Anna Boone and was raised by Rev. Clemen Britt in Cottonwood Ala.
Mr. Britt was a man of many talents and enjoyed his work. He worked as a painter at the Wilson and Jr. Rabun Companies. He also worked as a caretake to many. He retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation in 1999 after twenty-six years of service.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Clare Young in 1956. This union was blessed with two children. He was a faithful member of the Fellowship Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board. On November 25, 2012, he was recognized as the oldest active Deacon in the church. He was a faithful and lifelong attendant until his health began to decline.
He leaves to cherish his memories; a daughter Terea Britt, two sons Timothy (Elizabeth) Britt, Nathaniel Jr. (Gladys) Britt seven grandchildren; Wynikie (Mike) Britt, Barbara (Cliff) Whitfield, Yvonne (David) Pitts, Rafeal (Donitra)Britt, Jarvis (Ashleigh) Britt, Lachandria (Karon), Moon, Marie (Richard)Fountain, a devoted friend and caregiver Ms. Brenda Robinson, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, four nieces: Ms. Sharon Cody, Ernestine Rusher, Mrs. (David) Noretha's Thompson and Mrs. Ida (Theron) Jones all of Cottonwood Alabama. Seven nephews: Mr. Connie Jr. (May Rose) Cody, Charlie Cody, Daniel Cody (Rose), Alexander Cody, Nathaniel (Mary) Cody, Henry Cody Jr., Albert Cody Jr., of Cottonwood Alabama, and a host of other relatives and friends,
