Our beloved, Mr. Alexander Ivey gained his wings on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Mr. Ivey was born on January 9, 1962, to the parents of Velma Louise Ivey Neal and Eddie Kendrick Sr. after 56 years of living, god reclaimed his angel.
He was a graduate of Glascock County High School and a member of William Grove Baptist Church. Alexander remained in the community of his birth and was gainfully employed for many years at the Burgess Pigment Company, Sandersville, GA.
Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Louise Ivey Neal and father Eddie Kendrick, Sr., his step father, Benjamin Neal, mother in law, Dorothy Jackson and his son, Jermaine Ivey. Four brothers, James Kendrick, Jessie Kendrick, Michael Ivey and Morris Simpkins and one sister, Mary Bell.
Mr. Ivey leaves to mourn his passing a loving and devoted wife Betty Ivey, Mitchell, Georgia and one god- daughter Marshay Duke, Warrenton, Georgia; sisters, Evelyn (Eugene) Crowder Sandersville, Georgia; Julia Mae Jordan, Warrenton, Georgia, Marion Harris, Augusta, Georgia,. Ruby Lane, Mitchell, Georgia, Dorothy Parham, Atlanta, Georgia, Sallie Baker, Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Jerry (Lucille) Ivey, Mitchell Georgia, A.C. (Christine) Ivey Gibson, Georgia, Eddie B. (Dorothy) Kendrick, Thomson Georgia; sisters-In-Law, Robin Scott, Laura Williams, Lois Bell, Linda Jackson, all of Warrenton, Georgia; brothers-In-Law, Larry (Daisy) Jackson, Robert (Daisy) Jackson, both of Warrenton, Georgia. He also leaves a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
